Glizot medicine is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). It helps improve blood glucose levels. The combination of gliclazide and metformin is effective and well-tolerated for patients inadequately controlled by monotherapy.

About Gliclazide:
An oral sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin secretion from the pancreas, helping to lower blood sugar levels.
It is metabolized by the liver, making it a safer option for patients with renal complications.

Additionally, it has a lower risk of hypoglycemia compared to some other sulfonylureas and is associated with a reduced risk of cardiac events.

Indications:
Type II diabetes uncontrolled by monotherapy.

Gliclazide and glimepiride have similar glycemic efficacy, but gliclazide has a 50% lower hypoglycemia risk.

Dosage and Administration:

Take once daily or as directed by a physician.
